How it works: each player's minutes in his team's recent games (the newest count most), split by starting and coming off the bench; tonight's lineup (expected or confirmed) decides who starts; players out tonight leave their minutes to the others, most of them to the same position; then each team is fitted to 240 minutes. Tested on the 2025-26 season, when the injury report was right it missed by 4.6 minutes per player on average, against 5.1 for a plain last-10 average.
