Privacy policy

Last updated 26 Sep 2026

This policy explains what personal data NBA House (“we”) collects when you use nbahouse.net, why, and the rights you have under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

What we collect

  • Account data — your name, email address and a one-way hash of your password, when you create an account.
  • What you save — favourite players and teams, bankrolls and bets you log in the bankroll tracker.
  • Subscription data — your plan, its status and renewal date. Card payments are handled by Stripe; we never see or store your card number. We keep the customer and subscription references Stripe gives us.
  • Usage data — the questions typed into search (with a shortened one-way hash of your IP address, not the address itself) so we can improve answers; login attempts, to protect accounts from password guessing; and the standard server logs kept by our host.
  • Analytics and advertising — only if you accept them in the cookie banner: Google Analytics measures which pages are used; Google AdSense may show ads to free users. See the cookie policy.

Why (legal bases)

  • To provide your account, saved items and paid plan — performance of a contract.
  • To keep the service secure and prevent abuse — our legitimate interest.
  • Analytics and advertising cookies — your consent, which you can withdraw at any time from “Cookie settings” in the footer.
  • To keep payment records — legal obligation.

How long we keep it

Account data for as long as your account exists. Search logs for up to 13 months. Login-attempt records for 30 days. Payment records as long as tax law requires. When you delete your account, your profile, favourites and bankrolls are deleted immediately.

Who else processes it

Our hosting provider (servers and database), Cloudflare (network security and delivery), Stripe (payments, if you subscribe), and Google (analytics and ads, only with consent). Each processes data under its own terms and, where data leaves the EU, under the EU's standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision.

Your rights

You can access, correct, export or delete your data, object to processing, and withdraw consent. Most of this is self-service: your account page lets you edit your details, download everything we hold about you, and delete your account. For anything else, contact us. You also have the right to complain to your data protection authority.

Minors

NBA House is for adults. Content about betting is intended for people of legal gambling age in their country, and at least 18.
